Hey everyone! As some of you may have heard.. I am wayyyy too excited about going to the zoo. I went last semester when there was a res trip while it was still warm and since then plus the royal winter fair ive been fiending to go back! Apparently this thing called matte painting actually exists... Bobby Chiu is gone to a bunch of comic conventions and we have a professional matte painter teaching our class for the last few weeks. Heres what we did in class before and after.

Paint-o-grandma

YES! THE RUMOURS ARE TRUE! the same night I posted the last painting I actually FINISHED ONE!!! Miracles do happen... Anyways I started this as a demo to show my boy Nizzle what I learned from the class and it was coming out pretty solid so I finished er off. Took maybe 2.5-3 hours non stop.

As some of you may know I've been digital painting it up in Bobby chiu's painting class. I always get part way through a painting and get tired of doing it.. so heres one im working on which I plan to finish but just wanna post it anyhow.

Cow and...Blue Jay?!

Hey Everyone.. was looking through my collection of character model sheets while trying to think of an idea for my animal character.. found the cow and chicken sheets.. I had originally wanted to do a Blue Jay anyways but didnt know what style to use so I used chicken as a guideline. And so "JayBee" was born. I tried to switch him up as much as possible I still might make some changes to make him less a rip off of chicken.
