Dogs are a man's best friend

Meet my new character Nargiza Pochap...hot dog vendor extraordinaire. He moved to North America from Kazakhstan when he was 8 ( Yes the same Kazakhstan as Borat... but he hates Borat). He peddles hot dogs to the streets of New York crushing anyone who stands in his way. He is determined to be the best and one day maybe even own a Mcdonalds! His love for selling hot dogs is only matched by his distaste for tourists...unless they are from his home country. He also has a pet rat which moved into his hot dog cart and he now lets it live in his apron pocket. He is yet to be designed.
Keep checkin back for turnaround, expressions and poses!

Strike a Pose!

Our character design expressions were due today. Here is the majority of them. I have been told now by 3 people that it is "clone high-esque" or "looks nice except the uncanny resemblance to clone high." I guess there is a similarity in style but I did not have clone high in mind at all when designing him.. maybe its some sort of weird visual freudian slip haha Either way Clone high is awesome so I dont mind.

Day at the Fair

Hit up the Royal Winter Fair today with some buddies before I go on Thursday with my class. Just practiced drawing the animals and working with mediums. Here is a few sketches I brought back.
